Monday 3 October 2016:
I invite you to check out Steven Martin’s posts for the “play by play” at Earshot Creative. He is an amazing journalist covering Imaging Events all over the world. I will give you tons of visuals here and a few notes…
This guys works for months on end getting the event ready. Its such a perfect atmosphere to bond with colleagues, meet new producers from around the globe and “talk shop”
Past guest of the podcast, Denzil Lacey, did an awesome job starting the conference.
Denzil broke out some sessions and showed how he does what he does…
My old friend Chris UK Stevens put together an amazing session about TIME, something we need more and need to use better.
Chris got the crowd involved. The slacker made them do his work for him…
Actually a good exercise to visualize what you THINK the station VO looks like. (I draw worse than that)
The next session was a “Yesterday” and “Today” type scenario with Bart Van Gogh with Top of Mind Media
Studio One is the first NON-Pro Tools daw to show its face…not the last 😉
Chris Ward, who will join me on Day Two for a Jingles session, does his presentation. He heads Imaging for Bauer City Network in the UK, 50 stations!
Nik Smon was very impressive – seeing Ableton in use SO powerfully for full radio imaging mix was great to see
UH OH – The Godfather is getting setup!
Dave Foxx is opening plugs and the crowd is happy…
Dave breaks it down to five simple steps…
If you can make it to an Imaging Days some year do it. You can’t even begin to predict what will be your major takeaway BUT there will be at least one…if not 20. BUT always, always… it leads to lots of this with dozens of great people….too many countries at one table to list…
First night, Italian (we owned the whole place).
…then below, night 2 was Thai! Again we took over!
And of course some of this might happen…
